Redemption comes in strange places, small spaces, calling out the best of who we are. It comes in small inspirations. It comes in loving community. It comes in helping a soul find its worth. I want to add to the beauty, to tell a better story. I want to shine with the light that's burning up inside. This is grace, an invitation to be beautiful.
You can't understand light unless you understand darkness, because that's where life is most often lived - somewhere between the two. It's messy and it's beautiful all at the same time.
What we must do is to stop regarding unpleasant or unexpected things as interruptions of real life. The truth is that interruptions are real life, the real life that God sends us day by day. What we call our real life is but a phantom of our imagination.

About Me

I love running with my ipod, reading Jane Austen novels, watching romantic comedies, finding new delicious-healthy-vegetarian recipes, and pretending my life is a musical set sometime prior to the turn of the (20th) century. I have a strange obsession with inventing creative seasonings for popcorn and, if pressed, will admit to eating popcorn at almost any time of day or night. As a singer and former music major, I absolutely love vocal and choral music. But I also appreciate most genres of music, recently wading into the murky waters of country (much to the chagrin of my four sisters), and I’m always open to song recommendations. Also, my sister Caroline says I’m the kind of person who laughs at a joke three times: when it’s told, when it’s explained to me, and when I finally get it.
